1960 model with two vintage Leslie cabinets! He also has a Hammond SK1 digital keyboard that he uses when we play tight stages and he plops it up on top of the B3 for piano and such when he hauls out the B3. The SK1 has some beautiful patches! We're very fortunate to have him as he really has the B3 down. He's a contemporary of Greg Rollie and in fact played against him in HS jazz band competitions in the South Bay back in the day.

That's pretty cool.

I was thinking it's a bulky thing to lug around. But I suppose it's not much different than the rest of the equipment.

has levers that push the wheels up when he has it in place. He has a small enclosed trailer that the B3 and both Leslies fit perfectly into. The only hassle is if we have to take it up stairs or up a steep grade. That's where the SK1 comes in handy! It's a very good substitute, but NOTHING sounds like an honest to god B3!

You guys sound better and better every time you post some of your material; tighter and more confident. The addition of the keyboardist was a smart move too, he adds depth to your sound, and gives everyone else a little more freedom to shine or simply groove.

about pulling together my old Bass player and drummer who (3 of us together) were a powerhouse of the blues. But the temptation more-so now is primarily to interest the bassist, add a keyboardist (any drummer who digs the idea), a sax player and 3 go-go dancing -hoola hooping -soul-singing - percussion playing female back ups, and see what Animal house inspired party rock/blues/soul we could do.

Unfortunately people just put more of it in there. I think we'll try something different next time!

I've been known to grab the tip jar and go around the room with it. I can be very persuasive when I have to be.

I love gigs like that. You'll usually find me on the side somewhere, dancin' my little heart out. And LOVE the blues!
