Director Paul Feig Shares First Preview of All-Women Ghostbusters

Director Paul Feig tweeted the first look at the all-female reboot of Ghostbusters. Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon stand in front of the Ecto-1 in full costume, proton packs and all. Don’t worry, it only took about three replies for a dude to get angry about vaginas. In better news, MRAs have more than a year to get further incensed by a movie—Ghostbusters is scheduled for release on July 22, 2016. Twitter

Ghostbusters II featured the entire returning cast and creative team, and it was one of the worst films ever. If they can't get it right with the original team, what hope does any other incarnation have?

After all, people in 1984 didn't really go to see a "Ghostbusters" movie; they went to see a Murray/Aykroyd/Ramis movie.

Though, I think Caddyshack 2 was a worse sequel.

However, it wasn't just Murray, Ramis and Ackroyd. The movie had great effects for the era and was also PG rated, when some of their previous movies (Animal House, Caddyshack & Stripes come to mind) were R movies.

I think it could work. Not only do they have a great cast, but Paul Feig has a pretty good resume as a director.

As in, that Jackie Mason, he's no Rodney Dangerfield and that Dan Ackroyd, he's no Bill Murray (Sorry but is true) and that whatever guy filled in for the judge (Robert Stack), he's no Ted Knight.

Ghostbusters II was cinematic genius compared to the utter awfulness of Caddyshack II.

and he's a pretty stoic guy overall, but he was practically in tears over how bad Caddyshack II was.

This is indeed a good (no, super) cast of comic performers. I'd see this film based on the cast alone.

it is a cast worth going out to see. They're not Murray/Ramis level yet (who is?), but if 2 or 3 of them have more good movies together, who knows?

I am bored with Melissa McCarthy who essentially plays the same character she plated from 'Bridesmaids'. I get it, she does fat, slobby obnoxious woman really well. So does Queen Latifah yet Ms Latifah made it a point to get other diversified parts which is why I think she is so much more talented!

She is looking great lately, it's really inspirational to see the weight loss. I know a lot of it is the outfits and styling, but get it girl!
