My ice maker works. It's nice to be home.

Just back from a visit with folks who will remain nameless.
Their fridge ice maker doesn't work very well.
It makes slivers about as big a the first joint of your thumb.
If you have a small thumb.

And it hangs up with a small thumb sized sliver 'caught' in the dump rack.
('Dump rack' is a technical term that I just made up.)

"Just open the freezer door, look in the ice maker, and if there's a piece hung up, flip it out."

Great.

Also "Well, we don't really use that much ice. We drink mostly wine and beer."

Thanks.
I drink mostly Scotch and water.
OK, ONLY Scotch and water.
And ICE!
I require copious amounts of ice.
Robust nodules of ice, not tiny slivers.

But now I'm home again and my ice maker never fails.
Skol!
