the a/c in my '99, 202k mi truck is crapping out

lots of other things are broke, but decided to live with it, since drivetrain seems ok.

not sure i wanna put any more money in this rig, and after 13 yrs kinda hankering for a younger model. arm candy y'know.

i drove an 82 volvo station wagon and somehow the a/c and alternator (iirc) wires ran to the same fuse and the fuse would blow if you turned on the a/c. i live in northern colorado and it's not terribly necessary, so it wasn't worth the money to get it fixed. what was nice about the car is that it had a vent in the driver's side wheel well and that was great in the summer.

i'm in a newer wagon now and really can't justify the money the get the a/c recharged. it doesn't have the foot ven and the sun roof is broken, but at least the one window that can be rolled down with the master control is mine.

however, i do fully understand that there are places where it's a necessity. not having a/c was a real beast driving to see my mom in illinois.

if you can afford it, i say go for it
