The DU Lounge

...like, ever? You're on your deathbed (or in a jetliner screaming to Earth, or whatever) ; what is the last song you'd want to hear the moment you die?
I'm having a hard time with this one, although it would likely be a Beatles song.

(81,098 posts)A ballad my kid wrote, that's on the latest album by his band, ACIDIC. He wrote it in response to the drummer breaking up with his girlfriend while out on the road in the Midwest. My husband even plays keyboards on it.

(731 posts)I'd still be strapped in my airline seat going to the sea bottom hearing something about a cake left in the rain, baking time, lost recipe and a guy screaming "Oh noooooo!" repeatedly with rising inflection and echo fading orchestra.
Then came The Knack's 'My Sharona.' I became musically militant and to this day, I want to see that band terminated with extreme prejudice.

(10,621 posts)but it's a prog-rock mini-epic by that band fronted by Miley Cyrus's grandson. You know, the one he wrote about turning 40.
