Yes, the best Arthur ever in such a beautifully-done film. Probably the most-quoted film by my gaming friends at the time, though mostly of Nicol Williamson's Merlin.

I will always think of him as Arthur but he did so much more. He portrayed future King John alongside Peter O'Toole, Katherine Hepburn and Anthony Hopkins, for one.
Big sad. 69 is too young.

His acting was fairly wooden in a lot of the scenes, but his portrayal of Arthur's relationship with Merlin was very moving.
