His belief that he was actually small enough to fit in a lap once got him in some trouble. I had just gotten home from my first knee surgery (they sliced through my thigh muscle to take a 6 centimeter growth off the top of my knee) and he wanted to cheer me up, so he hopped onto the couch, and onto my lap. Bad words were uttered at the 100 lbs of fur.

The poor dog was so upset that I had to apologize to him because his feelings were hurt. As if it wasn't bad enough that he was mom's favored son.

is responsible for every ginormous dog thinking it's a lapdog and every little furball doglet thinking it's actually a Neapolitan Mastiff?

The smaller the dog, the bigger the chip on their shoulder. The bigger the dog, the more they want to crawl all over you.

Being barked at by a very small dog. Abby just looked down on it with a look that plainly said, "Yes? What do you want?" Abby knew she didn't have to prove anything to anybody.

I don't have a picture of Abby, but here is one of my two current Pyrs, Constanze as a puppy:

At 11 months, she is now much bigger.

I love Great Pyrenees! They are so sweet. I have never actually met a GP puppy.
