"I'm surprised she's not dead."

Quote from my 7 year old granddaughter upon learning that a distant (in-law) aunt who she doesn't really know had been in a really bad automobile wreck.

She had heard us discussing the injuries and the fact that she was on life support.

The aunt is now off of life support and is apparently recovering.
