The Boy in the Box. A very sad story.

A very sad story today. On February 25, 1957, a young boy was found dead in a box in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia. Pictures of the boy were inserted in every gas bill in Philadelphia, and he was even posed in clothes to try to help people remember what he may have looked like alive. No one could identify him. In 1998 he was exhumed and DNA extracted from a tooth as they tried once again to find a living relative. These attempts, too, were unsuccessful. He was reburied and remains America’s Unknown Child.

maybe. The explanation was that not enough DNA could be recovered from the tooth. I don't know how much has changed.
