I never really liked any of his books, although I don't know why.

I think maybe as a child they were too close to the bad dreams I used to have.

Happy birthday to him anyway, and I'm proud to say that I once lived on Mulberry Street. Yeah...that one. In Springfield. In a huge old Victorian house. I loved it.

I liked reading his books to my kids. We had the whole collection but my daughter always wanted to hear Fox in Sox.


I've already been informed that we are going to see the Lorax so I hope it's not terribly cheesy...I wasn't fond of Jim Carey's Grinch. Prolly because I grew up with the real Grinch cartoon every year at christmas and felt it was an affront to try to remake it...

I LOVED 'The Cat in the Hat' as a kid!

And the line, 'It's fun to have fun, but you have to know how' has passed into my family tradition.
