Weekend music to chill by....More Wes Edition!!

Pat Metheny actually met Wes in 1968, shortly before Wes died. Pat was 13 and had braces on his teeth. He said Wes told him, "Son, you need to get past the fifth fret." Pat borrowed his licks and has continued the clean jazz guitar tradition.

My all time favorite Wes Montgomery tune is Death March or '13', from the album the Dynamic Duo with Jimmy Smith.



So swanky; its almost comical, but talk about groooove. And best silly album cover of all time. Perfect music for a hot August night.
