do those drops for treating skin tags work or is it BS

As I've gotten older and thicker I've gotten a huge amount of skin tags. I have one on my neck near my Adam's apple that's extreme troublesome. I also have lots of them in my armpits. I've heard that certain supplements can be taken to make them go away and I've also seen drops at my local drug store for skin tag removal. I'm not willing to waste money on what me be quackery treatment. Somebody even suggested wrapping dental floss around them to dry them up. Any thoughts?

It worked perfectly. They need to be in a spot you can get to though, or you'll need an assistant. There's no way I could do it one handed to get rid of one in my armpit. They get ugly before they fall off, so you might want to wait til winter for the adam's apple one, and get yourself a habit of wearing a trendy scarf.

Tiny ones I've also gotten rid of by putting an ice pack on to numb it slightly, then just cutting them off with cuticle scissors. I expected that to bleed like crazy - but nope, just pressed on it for a few seconds, and nothing.

it hurt like the dickens when I tightened it. At last count I have 17 under my right arm and I have one on my inner thigh that hurts when I wear jeans. I may ask my surgeon to snip them off when I have surgery in September.

but I remember it seems for a few days like nothing was happening, but the way I saw to do the floss was like a slip knot and I was able to tighten it a little more each day. Then it swelled up like a tiny balloon. Then it was big, but got hard, then it shriveled. There were a couple times along the way that it hurt some. If you don't have a slip knot, undo it (if you can) and restart, because you will need to adjust it. I probably had close to the same amount as you - mostly along my collar bone. The only one I have left now is in the crook of my elbow, just can't get it with the one hand.

I tried some of that stuff on a couple of medium sized ones under my left arm. Lots of people who reviewed it on Amazon said it stinks. I found the aroma interesting, although not putrid, like some of them claimed.

After using the drops 3x per day for about six weeks I did notice the tags start to shrivel a bit, but they never really did come off.

I've read that a paste of (cosmetic grade) castor oil and baking soda may remove them. Cover with a bandage overnight and rinse in the AM, repeat till they dry up and fall off. Never tried that.

I have had the best luck with those Dr Scholls wart freezing kits. Hurts like hell for a bit (the 20 seconds you have to leave the tip on) but one application usually blasts those things off.

At this point I have so many that I can try multiple methods and see what works best. Thanks for the advise all.

and I just took a fingernail clipper to them. A quick snip and a little blood and it healed in a day or two.

The one on my back hurt like hell when it got snipped. But I survived and continue to play the guitar.
