Passing through for one night on the way to somewhere else. Looking for kid friendly (not change a diaper in the booth friendly, but you know).
We love the off the beaten path places. One hard and fast rule is nowhere we could eat at home.
What does DU think? BBQ? Seafood?

(12,132 posts)My wife had a cousin there and he was kick-ass guy who I loved more than a lot of my own family. Haven't been since he passed away but I need to get back there soon. We always ate at Loves or a little place called Sweet Potatoes.

(16,063 posts)It's family owned off the main tourist areas. The service was perfect and they had a jazz.band playing downstairs. Get the fried green tomatoes. They come with a lobster chutney. Oh my god.

To get there you can walk past the stables for one of the horse tours of Charleston. Fun for the kids
to see the horses leaving the stable.
