Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsBought gas at under $3.00/gallon today! It's been a long time
since I paid so little for a fill-up.
Have to admit I used a bonus $.30/gallon from Kroger shopping . This is in Ohio.
The price without bonus was $3.28+, and I hadn't seen even that low for I don't know how long.
My Kroger bonus came from double bonus points they give for weekend shopping, otherwise I don't rack up that many points in a month.
Yes, it does feel good, though realistically, the savings is no big deal and I blow that amount on mindless purchases regularly.
Old habits of frugality are hard to lose.

I do few 'mindless purchases,' but do have a new grandbaby so try to save my cash!

(130,871 posts)Yes, the pennies add up. I 'shop' for best prices, always do, so over the years its worth something.

(205,237 posts)I've found a surprising difference in gas prices even for the stations closest to me. People post local gas prices from all over the U.S. and Canada...

(205,237 posts)I also get points for cents off a gallon from Price Chopper, but it depends on the prices. The gas stations closest to me currently vary by more than 20-cents-a-gallon. The last group of prices I posted went from $3.58.9-a-gallon to $3.83.9!
