My nephew is moving from CA to MI for love -- without a sou.

I'm apprehensive, to put it mildly. He just turned 21. This young woman broke his heart a few years ago, then a few months later she moved to MI. Somehow they rekindled things across the miles. He spent a week in MI in November. She just spent a week with him in CA, and a few days later he bought a one-way ticket.

What he bought it with, I don't know. He's never worked. He's not a deadbeat; he looks diligently and can't buy a job. I have heard that the economy in MI is tougher.

This sucks.

Does any of you live around Grand Rapids? Know anyone who's hiring?

is not the greatest. I sure hope he can find something K.

We're about an hour East of GR and I'm afraid I don't know of any jobs out that way.

Best of luck to him.

again. 21 is young. And we've all had broken hearts at that time of life. It's all so intense, until real life comes crashing in. With any luck they won't be parents any time soon.

He's lucky to have a supportive family member like you.

as is the rest of our family. I just hope with all my strength that support won't be needed for a break-up. (And with that strength I beseech the universe, please no baby.)
