If I had to pick a grown up book I'd have to say Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut because I really loved it.

Because in that situation, it's probably the most important book ever written. To preserve it is to preserve the means to destroy that precise totalitarian oppression and subvert censorship.

because it's a classic that deserves to be preserved (said to have started the Symbolist movement) and because others may not choose it because of its eccentricity.
