1. The hours of playing really show!

You can tell that this young guy is very devoted to playing his guitar- kudos to him!
Do you still play a guitar?
I just listened to an NPR segment about how good it is for our brains to keep learning something that requires concentration. One older man was learning how to use a digital camera and Photoshop, and he said he had never touched a computer before that. Quilting was another activity that requires a lot of focus and hand-eye coordination. I'm 63, and I'm going back to learning a graphics program (my older mac doesn't support Photoshop). My 19-year-old son does these things with such ease, if I get stuck it will be less than 1 1/2 months until he's home from college and I can get his help.

3. I still play but not like that

almost 50 years old and 20 years of hard labor have taken their toll.

I still LOVE to play but mainly just strum my acoustic on the porch....once in a blue moon I get with friends and we jam...Mainly at my uncles place...57 years old and can still kill it on the drums.

It's all fun...we all get old my friend...the hands don't hold up well to hard labor.

Will be out of this labor job soon and hopefully my hands will heal enough to let me get back into it

4. thinking about all the good times had

21 and full of whipass attitude and killer riffs....playing Harpos and the festivals in Detroit at Hart Plaza...Some amazing fun.

To you youngins...trust me...live it up...enjoy the fuck out of it....I have memories to last a lifetime....and you should too.

Playing in front of over 100,000 at hart plaza at a festival...it is impossible to describe the rush.

LIVE IT UP
