1. Robert Schumann, The Happy Farmer on the violin

in about 1961 in front of the 7th grade in Junior High. In the rock setting in a band it would be The Last Time by the Rolling Stones in about 1966 in my first paid gig at the local Air Force base enlisted men's club. My band alternated sets with a bunch of German knee-slapping, lederhosen-wearing, joke-telling, oom-pah-pah playing Bavarians (it was during October fest time down in Savannah, Georgia).
