Woman Glued to Toilet Seat at Home Depot

BANKS COUNTY, Ga. from the AJC 2013

A woman found herself stuck in an unfortunate situation after making a stop in the restroom of a north Georgia Home Depot.

Emergency workers were called to the store in Banks County last week to remove a woman glued to a toilet seat, deputies said.

A prankster had covered every toilet seat with Loctite GO2 glue , according to Commerce News Today.

The woman had to be taken to a hospital in Gainesville for treatment.

The manager of the store said they later found a brown paper bag with the glue bottle.

He estimated damage to the toilet seats to be about $60.

No suspects have been identified.

2. Can you imagine?

Just running in for a paint sample or something and ending up at the hospital?

It seems to me like a security camera would show someone.

3. So....

How long did she actually sit on that toilet seat, anyway?

According to this Amazon.com review, it's not like Super Glue in that it doesn't bond immediately

I have had a love-hate relationship with this product. Like some of the reviewers have pointed out, this glue sometimes fails miserably at a task. The glue is a combination of polyurethane & polyoxysilane adhesives, and creates a clear, somewhat flexible, impact-resistant bond, in situations where it works. The initial tack of the glue is almost non-existent, so parts can be freely moved and re-positioned, with the glue feeling like a layer of slime between the pieces. Furthermore, until the glue itself is cured, which takes at least 24 hours, the bond is extremely weak, and the glue will peel. Lastly, at least one of the surfaces to be bonded to should be porous for the bond to have any significant strength.

The best use of this glue is bonding unlike materials. I have had success, for example, bonding wooden letters to a metal door, which is not something I would normally try with most other adhesives. This job required the letters to be clamped for an extended period of time, because the bond was not strong enough to hold the letters during the first 12 hours. After 24 hours the bond was still somewhat weak (I was able to pull a test letter off of the same type of surface by hand), but became extremely strong over the course of several days.

4. Yup.

For one thing, wouldn't you notice that you sat in something immediately?

I have some LocTite glue that I use around the house. It does not set up instantly.

5. Yet another urban myth? Like worms in McD's hamburger meat?

The latter ridiculous on the face of it because worm costs more than ground hamburger per lb. I know because I once rescued a newly hatched dove with a broken wing - it never would've survived in the wild. So I bought a bunch of worms and mashed them up so the mixture could be fed by dropper. His wing never healed enough for him to fly, though he could use his legs; I wound up building him a big outdoor aviary and only brought him in on cold nights.

I say 'him' because the dove eventually started the mating dance every time he saw me.

Well, it's no worse than the goose (or was it a swan?) who fell in love with a gentleman walker in the park at some big city. It was on the news - she walked right beside him and would fend off anyone who came too close. I know geese in particular are extremely possessive and protective of their adopted humans.

9. McDonald's to Introduce Tapeworm McNuggets

OAK BROOK, IL -- In response to a series of articles linking fast food to our nation's rapidly increasing obesity epidemic, McDonald's, the world's largest fast food chain, silenced critics with plans to unveil their latest creation; tapeworm McNuggets.

McDonald's CEO, Ronald, was very enthusiastic about his company's new product. "Tapeworms taste just like chicken and they still have all the yummy crunch of a regular McNugget. Plus you can eat all you want because the more you eat, the more the tapeworm eats. This is a true breakthrough. It's the very first battered and fried diet food. Think about all the weight people are going to lose by eating at McDonald's."

McDonald's plans to start selling Extra Crispy Tapeworm McNuggets and Cajun Spice Tapeworm McNuggets by the end of next month.

11. I know you're joking; however,

when it comes to reality re c-preps, here's my method which makes everything soooo much easier. For 72 hours before Prep Day, I stick to a low fibre diet. 24 hours ahead, I take a single senna pill. By the actual Prep Day, most of the work is already done. And you can lose 3-4 lbs along the way.

13. I sat on a poop smeared toilet while camping @Laguna Seca-saved me a lot of trouble it turns out....

Edit to add-whatever the glue used its a horrible reactant will be injurious to skin-stupid "prank". One of the few things I like about our security camera nation is that may help the idiot get caught.

--------------------

While it was disgusting & putrid to say the least I was spared a likely arrest/incident. Here's the story..

I had a front row camping spot for my 49 Chevy pickup with a tent in back etc... It was the 1st motorcycle GP event ever heald there & a lot of anticipation-heavy partying was going on. Anyone who camps in the infield knows what they are in for-loud bikes doing burnouts & drunken behavior-what's not to like (for me back then at least).

Well I rode my pit bike to a porta potty & it was pitch black. I walked in just after some guy was leaving & he looked all mad but said nothing.

I dropped drawers & smoosh-eeeew!.

I did my best to clean up & get my shorts back on & rode up the hill to the showers. At least I was able to do a thorough cleanup quickly.

And when I came back the infield gates were closed & 2 school busses full of riot police & MP's from the local military base were lining up against partiers. As I was watching some idiot threw a bottle at the police & one of them dropped.

Full on panic ensued & they spared nobody. It turns out the officer had a heart attack when the bottle hit near him. I don't know all the details but I'm glad I was not down there when it happened.

Thanks Mr. Hanky?

17. Yeah, doesn't anyone else besides me actually look before sitting?

I don't know if I buy this. Loctite takes a long time to set. Either she was constipated and sat there for a long time or this story is bs.
