Put some lemon juice in my water. Drank it. 1/2 hour later my stomach hurts. Is there an

antidote to too much acid? I have Tylenol. No ant-acids. And apple wont help. Maybe some oatmeal?

2. Well, a couple of things work.

Any eggs in the house? You can take an eggshell, boil it clean, dry it, and powder it completely then mix in water and drink it - it's pure calcium carbonate, chalk, same active ingredient as Tums.

Baking soda works, too, about a quarter teaspoon in 8 ounces of water.

5. No.

Those are both very old-time home remedies for indigestion. The chemistry is simple, both are bases, bases neutralize acids.

8. I am in shock.

You must be the only person without baking soda.
How can you live? How can you clean? How can you brush your teeth?

Feel better soon.

6. Crackers....soda crackers to be precise...

But carbs are the ticket in the absence of real antacids. Avoid the salted ones if you can, the sodium and chlorine in those can further irritate.

12. That's what you get for making a whiskey sour without the whiskey

Next time just burn a spliff and your stomach will be just fine.
