In the summer of 1985, I was soon going to start my senior year of high school and my older brother, Rich, had just finished his first year of college. Neither of us had a summer job so we spent a lot of time going to the movies--it was actually an inexpensive thing to do back then, especially since we could go to the local USO and buy discounted movie passes for $1.35(!) each.
Rich was a huge fan of The Police and their music was the soundtrack to that summer. He was killed in a car accident in January, 1989, and this song is the one I think of when I think of him and that summer when we just hung out together, goofing off and having fun.
Thanks for posting this, MrScorpio.
