3. I wouldn't have AC on even with those temps

We don't turn ours on until it gets oppressive at 90 or more with high humidity.

Living in only a few miles from Lake Erie in the Cleveland area, our house did not have air until just a few years ago.

Still we only use it when the heat is 90 or higher for prolonged periods.

4. Yep. My dad lives on the Oregon coast.

I was talking to him on the phone last night and complained about the heat. His reponse? "Yeah, it's been hot as hell here too. Got all the way up to 70 today!"

5. We swelter here at 85.

Right now, about 64, breezy, getting ready to rain. Love it. Last year with the extreme heat and drought it was awful.

I have seen frost every month of the year except July. I have seen it close to the frost point, like 36-37 degrees, a number of times in July.

6. I live in the area

and can say that we are generally hot weather wimps here. However, I think someone made a mistake in that notice - it's been way over 80 here, into the 90's. Since the majority of us don't have central (or any) AC in our homes and are not used to the heat, it can be oppressive. This morning it's quite lovely, in the low 70's with a slight breeze. I feel for you folks who have the heat and humidity all season long. We usually get just enough to call it summer and for our veggies to grow, but not too much.

7. Ha ha, very true.

My kids start in with the: "Oh, man, it's sooooo hot!" thing when it's 80 degrees. And that is a dry heat.
