Amazon.com announced yesterday the novel POE by J. Lincoln Fenn has won the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror category in the 2013 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards.
POE is one of 5 finalists in the contest (one winner from each of the five fiction categories, General Fiction, Mystery & Thriller, Romance, Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror, Young Adult) out of over 10,000 total submissions.
The final winner will be announced June 15, 2013.
The voting is open and I would like your support for her and her novel.
J. Lincoln Fenn is a friend of mine and this wonderful book deserves every vote but you can download the excerpts for free and see for yourself. If you like Neil Gaiman and/or Buffy the Vampire Slayer you will love it.
You will be supporting a great writer and good person.

(8,217 posts)I may have to read each one before I can vote.
Although... I must admit, I have no interest in reading Ken Moraff's book since the subject doesn't do it for me.
Good luck to your friend!

(41,932 posts)You know how much I believe in the power of these contests.
Even when they get you involved with lawyers who move like molasses.
I've been reading Wool, which is the darling of sci-fi self pubs. It's pretty good, and I'm impressed at its legs. Gives us pioneers hope.
Off to download.
