Anyone familiar with Goose Creek South Carolina?

1. Love the local orchestra. LOL

Much better than the North Augusta area of the state. Good Luck!

2. The plus is that it's quite near Charleston

Goose Creek does not have a lot to recommend it per se. What do you hate about SW Virginia?

I'll try to come back with a more detailed reply if I can get the story from a friend of mine who spent his high school years there. It's basically a military town, so nobody stays that long.

4. More detail

He said as follows:
Best advice is not to live in Goose Creek, but Summerville or Mt Pleasant. Avoid North Charleston like the plague.

I'll edit if he adds some more detail later.

Edit: he adds: Summerville is best choice. Charleston area in general is great.

6. spent all my summers there,

still have relatives in the area.

DO NOT GO THERE.

Charleston is a great place to visit, but unless you like red-neck racist good ol boys who fly the confederate flag, or lots of military guys, and local girls who prey on those military guys - oh the stories I could tell . . . stay away. Far Far away.

Unless you can live on the Beach. Then I'd go.
