Yngwie Malmsteen is a first class jerk .....

I used to love his technical virtuosity once upon a time ... but gradually grew out of his style ..

I came upon this today

He shows himself to be a dog eat dog Republican - Note: this was around President Obama's first election and he says
America does not need change.

and Jimi Hendrix's music is Noise ( WTF ?????) ..and Nothing Normal about me.

I still prefer Vai and Satch in regards to virtuosity.
Malmsteen was good, but I don't consider him to have a high place in the pantheon of Guitar Gods.

music spoke less and less to me ...

the final straw was when I went to see him live and realized this guy was such a Diva .... He gave the Sound guys a real tough time and calling them out in front of the crowds ...

I prefer the two I mentioned first as well as other guitarists who were more bluesy.
Ever hear of Jason Becker?

I've been a fan of Kaki King and "Roberto Y Gabriella" lately.
Both of them use acoustic guitars in amazing ways.

The latter takes a lot of rock influences and plays it in acoustic.
