16. That old hotel is being converted to an ecological museum.

I thought it was beautiful and searched for more info. It closed as tourism to visit the nearby falls fell off due to contamination of the river.

8. YES! I love this, thanks for posting!

I spent the day out in Buffalo yesterday and spent some exploring the somewhat abandoned waterfront, it was amazing/sad. It's hard to see the industry gone but in some ways the buildings left behind are just awe inspiring.

Railroad Terminals have always attracted me (and my camera). They just bristle with an old energy. Somewhere I have a photo of Buffalo Union Station in its heyday . . .
