"on hold" music
Seriously, just because someone put you on hold and you're stuck listening to it, doesn't mean you have to put it on speaker phone so the whole office is stuck with it!

6. Those are the worst!
I can generally ignore any music I don't like (most of it anyway) but the hold-music where the recording is not only in bad shape, but pushed up to the volume of ELEVEN makes me want to just hang up and mail my complaint in.

I almost had to beat my boss the other day. Instead, I just stood in his doorway and glared at him until he got the message. Probably a better option.
