This is hilarious!

Schickele is sooooooooooo inventive and funny.

I listened to the whole thing, because I knew it would be inspired, and it was!

Thank you!

Peter Schickele's music (and the music of P.D.Q. Bach) really require that the listener know not only classical music, but popular music and that of the general culture, too. Television themes, movie themes, sports music, and so on, find their way into this compositions.

I still miss stuff, because I'm not as familiar with classical as some people. But I think anyone can appreciate the parodies

Here's a little more of the same, though far more "layered":

Schickele is truly a genius...weaving all those melodies together in a way that is both musical and funny cannot be easy.

Thanks for the clip!

On the album, Peter Schickele introduces it as one of his own compositions as a matter of relief!

Of course, all P.D.Q. Bach is Peter Schickele in disguise

I know. I read about him - er, them - at Schickele's website. That's where I swiped the picture.
