(26,355 posts)Short of You-Know-Who himself, Umbridge was the most cruel and sadistic of all the characters in the Harry Potter series.
Actually, scratch that - Voldemort was psychopathic in such a way that he didn't care about the pain he caused to people. Umbridge reveled in her torments!

(8,636 posts)I always thought Ayn Rand would make a perfect James Bond villainess, complete with slinky dress and long cigarette holder. According to those who encountered her: she was vain, egotistical, arrogant, self-centered and cruel; all perfect qualities for a villainess, real or fictional.
The followers of her 'philosophy' have made life a living hell for most Americans; another qualification for listing her as a villainess.

(40 posts)Her "philosophy" cost me almost every friend I ever had and almost cost me my family, not to even mention that I'll probably never be sociable again, after coming in contact with the poison of Objectivism.
