6. My address worked for me, my dear nolabear...

I don't know why yours didn't.

UNLESS.

You haven't had your street scanned by Google Earth.

I suspect that's how they get the images. Our street was scanned.

19. No, I can find it on Google Earth. Strange. I get a car in a parking lot.

LOL! Not a very cute snow globe.

21. All I get is the aerial view of the farm

Which I guess is reasonable since the house is not visible from the road.

For my parents' and sister's houses, all I see are trees. That makes sense for my sister's since her lot look looks like dense forest, but my parents' house should be visible.

Oh well, at least my attempts gave donations for something good.

5. Um, it said it will make a donation on my behalf,

but I put in an old address. The house looks familiar, but there are trees and things around it that I don't remember.

12. It was a Festivus MIRACLE!!!

When I entered my home or my Mom's house, or my brother's I got a pretty much Google-earth overhead shot. But when I googled my childhood home in Connecticut the shot was an exact view from my old front yard looking south down the street to Long Island Sound a block away. Thanks Skip, because that was special and unexpected. Cat.

16. sweet idea, thanks for the link.

Momma's house really looked nice -- Mine is an aerial shot so, not so much. Still, Two more donations for the Homeless is what counts!

20. pretty sure it was an overhead of the road in

but that is almost 2 miles long and it didn't stay up long enough for me to see any landmarks for the exact spot. Parent's house was wrong.

oh well.

the google earth overhead shot of my house is pretty funny because we all know that one of the kids' friend was here. you can see his bright red truck.
