So, in the further misadventures of Denninmi, today I gave birth to ...

... Three bouncing baby corporations for two different clients. Well, actually LLC's, which are easier to do than regular incorporations, none of those messy minutes and appointments of officers and directors, no stock certificates to prepare, no corporate minute book to set up. Just the Articles of Organization and the operating agreement. And those are simple for single member LLC's. Then get EIN's online, and we're done.

And then I had a really interesting conversation with a judge's staff attorney about a personal rep who took the estate's funds and ran and defied an Order. If he doesn't show up at the attorney conference, he is going to be in contempt, maybe even have a bench warrant issued. The slime deserves it for ripping off his family. I will laugh and laugh and laugh. I feel bad for the siblings, but frankly this is interesting because this sort of thing is rare in probate. Probate is usually as exciting as a bowl of cream of rice cereal.

Now, the air has been taken out of my sails, ok, my right rear tire. Flat when I came out of work. Pumped it up, held air enough to get me to Belle Tire. Thank God Thursdays are their late nights. So, it's an unpatchable hole, they're going to fix me up with two new rear tires.

Yeah, buddy. I no longer stress over this stuff. Lamictal, it's a good thing.

Overall, not a bad day for a newly bipolar guy, especially considering where I was two months ago.

I really am glad you're coping so well with what your life is throwing at you!

Especially the tires. That cannot be fun, but you sailed through with nary a wrinkle!

YAY!

My best friend is a probate paralegal and has kept me amused for 40 years on the oddities, wrangling and maneuvering of heirs in probate cases. I, a corporate paralegal, have had little to amuse her about my cases over the years.

Glad to note, however, that you are now improved to the point that you can make comparisons of cases which have captured your interest. Sorry about the flat tire, however.

I've worked in this field only for four years, and I have had all kinds of interesting things occur. From my buddy death threat guy who was kind of straw that broke the Carmel's back in pushing me, shall I say, um, into a position where I needed a, ahem, "little vacation", to the client whose funds and basically life I managed and who died suddenly, leaving me to plan his entire final funeral, picking out the casket, flowers, minister, even going into his closet and picking out his clothing, which I had to then take home, wash/iron etc. Then there was the guy whose dog urine and feces filled condo had a collection of rare clocks worth a quarter million, and the one who left his estate to friends and charities in one and two percent shares, and ... You get the picture.

Don't even get me started on the tax law/IRS cases. Let's just say that if you didn't pay taxes for years, don't be shocked if the IRS and MI Treasury are kinda pissed and take forceable collections measures like levies on your bank accounts.

Yup, actually my job is never dull....

Or, the flat happened when the car was in an ideal situation, that is, parked, not being driven.

A slowly deflating tire could suddenly disastrously disintegrate at highway speeds, causing a whole much more serious series of events to occur.

One can almost say that it was good luck that it went flat when it did.

Good to see you that you are doing well.

A very good life-long buddy of mine is bipolar, and has been coping very well with his condition for over thirty years now.

We laugh about some of his previous, uh, 'exploits' now and again when we get together for dinner out.

The other thing, well, not so easy ... A definite learning curve ... With some obstacles like those speed bumps they put in mall lots to slow you down ... Except my speed bumps were about, oh, 22 feet tall...

My pre-what happened a few months back exploits were pretty tame overall compared to,those of many people I have spoken with or read about. Thank God.

Anyway, I'm coping. Probably shouldn't inflict this on the Lounge, but at least I hope it makes an interesting read.
