4. One does get the impression Betty enjoys

a drink or three every now and then. Britain's Queen Mother Elizabeth had her G&T every day and lived to something like 103.

3. I got a HUGE pork loin at a GREAT sale price and I cut it in half...

.
.
.
... and made pulled pork BBQ in the crockpot and a pork roast with
onions, apples and cherries in the oven.
.
I got canned yams for pork with apples and yams, but then I found
the can of cherries in my pantry. I also got some fresh sweet potatoes,
so I'll probably have a baked sweet potato with butter as a side dish soon.
.
M-m-m-m, I've been porkin' my brains out for the last coupla days.
.
.
.

10. It's ten A.M. and you have me lusting for a wonderful pork dish like this.

Perhaps I'll get a pork roast for TG instead of turkey . . .

14. It was easy enough. I put the roast on a bed of coarsely chopped onion...

.
.
.
... and gave it a light dusting of thyme (my first time cooking with thyme -- it
filled the house with a heavenly fragrance). I browned the roast well and then
roasted it at 325 for about an hour. I added the canned tart red cherries (drained --
and NOT pie filling) and fresh apple slices (I peeled the apples -- just personal
preference... either way is fine) and cooked it for another 20-30 minutes..
.
I saw a similar recipe today that used cinnamon instead of thyme. I'm going to
try that next time.
.
.
.

16. Man, I have to get more sleep. Totally misread that subject line.

Betty rocks, but I'm pretty sure she does not possess magical powers.
