Anyone else have a delayed Halloween? We're being more generous with the candy than usual since we're expecting fewer kids.

(47,675 posts)Missing Halloween night for me is like a five year old missing his own birthday party. Fortunately the kids in the neighborhood had fun.

(9,681 posts)we are a small burg just outside of Defiance, where romney decided to visit the night trick or treat was scheduled. We usually followed along with Defiance, although we are not technically Defiance. So when trick or treat was changed for them it was changed for us as well. They changed it to last Tuesday. We were all ready and had only abut 6 kids show up. Found out later there was something scheduled at the school that night, some kind of program with kids and parents (I don't have school aged kids anymore so don't keep up). So as of today, our school aged kids have not had trick or treat and don't know if anything is/was scheduled.
