The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI don't believe it, I'm recording a record to CD, and I'm actually enjoying it, by...
Ted Nugent.
The record is called "Free-For-All," and came out in 1976.
But Nugent sounds good on the guitar, not just the "Cat Scratch Fever" riff.
And his voice sounds good too!
What happened to him?
70's burnout?

(10,624 posts)Alice Cooper has a pretty strong body of work. I don't think they ever did a truly great album, but they did plenty of very good ones.

And while it got heavy airplay, it just wasn't Alice Cooper.

(10,624 posts)But still, Coop had several albums that were all-time classics, and I think Alice Cooper's work shows way more artistic merit than anything Kiss or Nugent ever did.

I have a handful of his albums from the 70s.

(21,046 posts)Hubby has a Numark turntable with USB port. Unfortunately, the software hears a soft spot and cuts off the track. This works with 3 minute singles. It does not work with classical music which has dynamic changes. So he records a 20-minute side as one track. You can get 2 LPs (4 sides) on one 80-minute CD.
I got lots of classical and chamber music I'm preserving this way. And rock 'n' rolll vinyl too.
As far as Alice Cooper:"Killer" was a good album.
