7. That's not my dog, just a pic I found on the interwebs
|
Like I said, she'd have never put up with it. I would never have the inclination to dress her up anyway.

I'd sort of like to keep the skin on my face.

6. no - I don't like the idea of putting clothes on animals
|
I don't even like shaving or bows for style reasons. I believe in letting an animal look like they naturally look. I don't have a problem with clipping or shaving fur for practical reasons, like so the animal can keep cool easier or to see better, and I don't either with clothing for practical reasons like coats for dogs to keep them warm, boots to protect their feet outside or working dog vests/reflector vests, etc.

9. They'll probably just wear bandanas this year. They need something or they feel left out.

10. Yes! Never in my life have I dressed up a dog for halloween - until now
|
I have had dogs ever since I was a kid and my husband and I have had 4 dogs in our 15 yrs together. He has been adamant about no dressing up - the occasional bandana after a trip to the groomer and coats when it gets below zero (here in Minnesota winter can be brutal even for our big dogs) he is ok with.
Our two eldest dogs have since passed away and we have a german shepherd and black lab mix and I want them in costumes. He finally relented. One costume is a squirrel and one is a cowboy rider - it has a plush stuffed cowboy on a saddle that fits on the dog and when our dog runs the plush stuffed cowboy bucks and waves - its hilarious. Our cat - he is a black cat so that is his halloween costume. We don't have kids, my husband refuses to dress up himself for halloween so this is my only costume outlet - the dogs can be dignified the other 364 days of the year. |
