Twilight Zone Santa Claus

A department store Santa, actually a homelessguy, shows up for work drunk. He explains to the manager "I want to give something to kids without hope, who the only thing that comes down their chimney on Christmas Eve is more poverty"... of course he is fired. Wandering down an alley, he finds a magic bag of gifts and from there it gets weird... Rod Serling was a genius. If this didn't get to you, you ain't human... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We watched them a bit earlier. One of them was, "A Stop at Willoughby." That one is a classic.

The episode (pre-Anthony!) with Billy Mumy talking to his dead grandmother on the telephone, who talks him into trying to commit suicide to be with her. I'd completely repressed the fact that it scared the holy crap out of me when I was a kid. I've seen a lot of TZ reruns and never since then have I seen that one. It was fascinating because it was shot like a stage production, but it still creeped me the hell out!
