(53,661 posts)There were factory whistles, the sound of ships and tugboats, eighteen wheeler and car horns, bells, fireworks and even the occasional gunfire.
As far as the dogs and cats are concerned, they have to be kept inside just like most holidays. Bad things can happen.
Happy New Year, we've got about three and a half hours to go here. Most of the evening has been very quiet here.
