Greenhouse, now with plants

I have room for more warm-growing orchids if anyone has any extras ...

The cool-growing outside area and a masdevallia.

1. Can I get you another bottle of beer, Mr. Wolfe?

.
VERY nice!!!

This is an incredible Old Time Radio streaming site (www.otr.net ), but I think you
might REALLY like the Nero Wolfe shows -- he pretty much would like to spend all
his non-dining hours amongst his orchids (and spend the majority of his earnings
acquiring them).

You'll need RealPlayer for it. Gunsmoke is by far my favorite of their shows -- over
400 of them.

12. Do not interrupt Mr. Wolfe between 4 and 6 pm!

Beer is consumed in the office after dinner, not in the orchid rooms!

2. Wow. That looks lovely

It has also been one of my dreams to have a green house. Maybe someday.

4. Do you have a heating system (and a back-up -- if and when necessary)?

.
.
.
I worked in a moderately-sized wholesale greenhouse operation and the owner had a number
of propane-fueled jet blower/heaters (they actually looked like jet engines) for when the
electricity would go out (and in SE Pennsylvania, that was several times a winter).

10. The warm-growers will not miss their yearly near-death experience outside on an apartment balcony!

Though a couple used to winter in my kitchen sink.

9. Nice! Sorry to report

my lowly, single orchid gave up the ghost.

You have a fabulous setup!

11. I put the "fail" in "phalaenopsis"

I think I have two that are alive. I can grow masdevallias like crazy, but so-called "easy" growers usually keel over on me.
