Want to see something that looks awful? (Pics heavy)

My Mom lives on a flowage in Oconto county, in Northern WI.
I just got home from being there from Wednesday until today.

The dam that controls the flowage level needs some maintenance, so the dam has been opened farther to lower the water levels.

This is my Mom's shoreline, the green is where the water used to be up to.

Other shorelines, again, the green is where the water level was.

This is the actual dam, it's decades old, and needs a lot of work.

Three natural lakes, the part we live on is the connecting area, that was originally a wooded area before the flowage flooded it.

We didn't create it.
My Mom simply lives on it.

There are many fish, and many, many wild birds and animals living in the flowage.
Woodpeckers, herons, chickadees, squirrels, beavers, muskrats, it's just a delight to see.
