I have a day helper, provided by the Veteran's Administration Social Services. She comes in for a couple hours four days a week.
She has other clients, including a live-in client. This man was senile and otherwise very sick. Two nights ago he died in her arms.
Linda was a wreck when she came today. It got to her badly, and we just sat while she talked about it. She started shaking so I simply sat next to her and put my arm around her shoulders, and we let the tears come. Ten minutes later she was hard at work and chatting to me about other things.
I'm not bragging- I'm just saying that ANYONE can make a difference in a bad moment, and if it happens to you, don't hesitate. Offer your shoulder and let the tears come.
You'll both feel better for it, and it won't cost you a penny.
And Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge... Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice cry ‘Havoc,’ and let slip the dogs of war; That this foul deed shall smell above the earth with carrion men, groaning for burial.
