The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI'm running out of ideas for lettuce wraps!
Make them with ground turkey. So far I've made Asian, Thai, taco, and Buffalo wing flavored. Tonight will be chili con carne.

(8,217 posts)Placing cubed pork in garlic, salt, pepper with 3/4 parts vinegar 1/4 parts water in a pressure cooker for a good 20 minutes.
Then, use the liquid from that pressure cooker to fry the pork with a little bit of soy sauce.
Add corn peppers and a laurel leaf.
Since it is soft it would pull apart and split if you want.
...
Then, you can make a combination of chopped:
Tomatoes
Onions
Radish
Maybe even mango
Maybe place cilantro
Vinegar to bind them together.
In a bowl for a compliment.

(55,007 posts)but ok wrap some good food in a limp lettuce leaf if you must
(stuffed cabbage and grape leaves (cooked, not raw) are good - you can stuff squash/zuchini and all kinds of peppers too)

(32,078 posts)You can spice them up however you like, and add whatever kinds of chopped veggies, herbs and nuts that you like. They go great with all sorts of sauces, too. A nice sweet & sour sauce comes to mind, although I prefer them Mediterranean-style with chopped red peppers, olives, olive oil, garlic and herbs, ad maybe a little red wine vinegar. Loads of lentil lettuce wrap recipes with a simple Google search. Here's one to get you started:
