Tomorrow, actually.
Driving 565 miles, 9-10 hours, with stops for a cup of coffee and time to give my cat food / water / a box break.
This is the point in life where Silicon Valley's been bled like a turnip.
Going to stay for a while on my sister's property, rent-free, to regroup, recharge.
Last night I got into it with the little 21 year old motherfucker son of the people I rent a room from.
Lots of f-bombs flying back and forth.
He finally said "You have NO IDEA of what I'd DO TO YOU."
I said "FUCK YOU, let's get the cops out here and you can TELL them, MOTHERFUCKER."
So I dialed 911, the cops came, and today the parents went camping, but before they did, the father let himself into my room with his key and said "I want you out of here before September 12 or I will go to court and evict you."
What he didn't know is that I already had made plans to leave tomorrow NIGHT.
So...how was YOUR day?

(30,885 posts)Part of the change doing me good has been to stay off of DU. I'm a straight male who has probably posted more pro-gay material on DU than most gay males. The jury decision was bogus, and insult, and it pretty much made me want to wipe my ass with this entire Website. My guess is that by the time I land in Nevada I'll have cooled off a bit.

(30,885 posts)My sister bought a couple of plots of land "dirt cheap"...no pun intended...decades ago, and built a couple of houses out there. Vegas would be a 130 mile round trip for me, and I drive a Honda Pilot (15 MPG, or $34 in gas for the round trip @ $4 a gallon), so I don;t think I'll be spending a lot of time in Vegas.
