One of my favorite movies is on right now...

I'm gonna mosey on up to the bar over there in Silverado and watch how it all turns out...

You know the dudes, the wranglers, the cattle pokes, the painted ladies and the settlers all minglin' in one dusty place tryin' to make it in the old west....

There is gonna be a show down at least two or three times and we just gotta see how it all turns out.

Silverado is a sprawling mess of a movie with almost too many story lines but the movie relies on picking up those story thread set down by countless westerns that went before and just enough grime and grit to make it feel authentic.

But if you really want to get down in the true grit and grime and lawlessness that was the west, check out Hell on Wheels on AMC. One of the best oaters I have seen in years.

and the music is wonderful fun. I was able to play it once, hard but fun music. Fun casting too.

It's amazing how many of these folks are still making movies.

Not blockbusters, but the kind of movie that is fun to watch just for the story and the acting.
