Saw them in Berlin Germany, here is a partial set list:

Noteworthy of this particular show: it was sold out just prior to the doors being opened so Pink Floyd let those trying to purchase tickets come in for free! The show cost me maybe $2.25 and we definitely got more than two encores. Furthermore, across town at the bigger Deutchlande Halle, the (then) much more popular band Chicago was performing.

I wanted to go see Chicago, not having a single clue who this Pink Floyd 'guy' was. I was actually upset to find out Chicago was also sold out and almost did not go see Pink Floyd but a friend kept insisting that I would like it. Boy, what an understatement.

That friend was also the very happy recipient of Pink Floyd's kindness in that he arrived intending to buy his ticket there. He was the one to tell me that they were sold out-that he was gonna miss the show. This being my first ever concert I was not about to go in alone so I was set to give away my ticket and leave with him.

It was at that point while about 8000 of us were still squeezed out front in a plaza that someone from the band came out on a balcony overlooking the plaza and told us that the show was sold out... Which elicited a bunch of boos. Then the guy told us not to worry, everyone else was welcome to come on in free of charge. The boos naturaly changed to cheers and my friend and I found ourselves crammed inside with everyone else in an arena most assuredly well beyond capacity.

I have seen tons and tons of shows both big and small since but that particular one would be the top of my list of shows I would revisit if possible.

Btw: Astronomy Domine from Umma Gumma is still my favorite Pink Floyd song, with a great many others vieing for second place.

Your one line OP Umma Gumma was a lure irresistible to me. Because my memory isn't what it once was due to drugs and age, (drugs surely but at almost 60....), I chose to do a bit of research.

I knew for a fact that I had seen that show, just not when. The research not only revealed when but also actual u-tube music from that show! Imagine my surprise!

Thanks to you I get to do the impossible-to go back in time and listen to what in my mind was the best concert I have ever been to.

Here is Echos as done at that show, (likely the guy recording it was using a hand held cassette recorder so it could be better but still...
