2. Given some time, I could remember all the verses from the "Go See Cal!" commercials

If you're little short of cash, go see Cal
Troubles over in a flash, go see Cal
Get a new car for your wife
She will love you all her life
Go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal

Wow. I am a child of my times.

on the Howdy Doody Show. The most annoying car commercial guy I remember was Ralph Williams who talked a mile a minute and seemed to be everywhere on late night TV in L.A. Another car guy who was on all the time was Fletcher Jones, who appeared with a comatose-looking Basset Hound in his arms and he looked like he was about to have sex with it in an effort to impress dog lovers in the audience.

Honest was the name of his dog.

I really liked Dick Balch of Federal Way Chevrolet in the Pacific Northwest during the 1970's - which suprisingly, never made it to YouTube. I would think the sight of a used car salesman jumping up and down on cars, pointing out what was wrong and why he wouldn't sell you that car, then totalling them with sledghammers would really take off.

That's the other guy I was thinking of. How many times did I hear all these guys hocking their wares? So, so many.
