Someone who speaks Cat-ese - what the hell does my cat want?

He's meowing and it's his sassy meow
He's rubbing my leg
Anytime I move in my seat he runs out the door real quick
His litter box is clean
His water dish is full
His food dish is full
Now he's licking plastic bag (he does that alot)

Is he fixed? He might be getting a little frisky.
We have all female cats who are fixed so I really couldn't say what he's up to, but it might be wise to sleep with one eye open.

Usually, when they rub on you, they are scent marking you.

My cat does that sort of thing all the time. Except for the bag-licking part. Half the time, I can't figure out what she wants, either, except maybe to go outside. Which she isn't allowed to do without supervision. Sometimes, she just wants attention. If I can grab her before she runs away, she'll do the rubbing and purring thing for a little while. She may even sit on my lap. But, I think they know it annoys you, and they just want to be annoying.

....him. Stick with it and ask what he wants. Friend had a cat who led her repeatedly to the drawer where the cat meds were kept. Turns out the cat had a porcupine quill in its face (unseen by owner) and wanted medical attention. Animals will let you know, eventually, what they're after.

Some cats like to lick an ice cube. It's cold and wet and they like that. Your results may vary, depending on your cat. If he's really Westchester County, he'll purse his lips and say, Now that is really dry.
