Like the late Harry Crews, I also really dig the knuckles of Saint Bronson.
Nothing wrong with that.

Are these training movies for neighborhood watchmen?

Will Zimmerman use them in his defense?

Will "St. Charles" rise from the dead to testify for him?

Bronson is ordering ginormous handguns through the mail and making his own ammo. There's gonna be trouble.

By this point Charles Bronson is, oh...I dunno...NINETY? And he SINGLE-HANDEDLY takes on THE ENTIRE COCAINE NETWORK OF LOS ANGELES.

Charles Bronson, weary and comatose, is trotted out again as the cocked crusader Paul Kersey in Death Wish 4: The Crackdown. Director Michael Winner has jumped ship for this installment, replaced by J. Lee Thompson (who has seen better days). Kersey is back in L.A. and dating attractive reporter Karen Sheldon (Kay Lenz). Of course, the clock is ticking, and the gong goes off when Karen's daughter overdoses on crack. Before you can say "kaboom" the drug dealer, along with a large cast of bit players, are blown to bits by the single-minded vigilante. An enterprising publisher whose own daughter has died from a drug overdose hires Kersey to wipe out the city's two rival drug dealers and their legions of flunkies. Kersey has no trouble agreeing, and using the technique limned in Yojimbo, he methodically eliminates gang members, first from one side and then the other, until one gang's paranoia about the other gang causes the two competitors to engage in a major confrontation that impacts both groups. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

It's been a while since I've seen it but it's one of those movies where elderly Charles Bronson, wielding some kinda bazooka or giant machine gun or something, keeps WALKING INTO A HAIL OF BULLETS from every crack addict in Southern California and blowing these guys away. Looks like they're showing all five films and DV4 is on in about 3-1/2 hours. I just turned it on, I'm IN.

The bad guys just killed his new girlfriend and then his buddy. And he's ordering stuff in the mail again. Yup, that means big trouble.

If you haven't seen it YOU HAVE TO SEE IT.

WHY, you ask?

Well, the "head bad guy" is none other than "Gavan O'Herlihy"...

James Arness (Matt Dillon) killed Bronson in Gunsmoke ("The Killer" 1956).

(I first saw Charles Bronson in 1953 when he played a mute man in House of Wax. That was before he changed his name from Charles Buchinsky to Charles Bronson.)

In any case, a great bad movie worth being accused of being an idiot for watching.
