What "London-y" things are going to be in the Opening Ceremonies?

I'm guessing doubledecker busses, at least one Tardis, and this guy

Any chance we'll get a Led Zep, Who, or Roger Waters appearance?

3. If Mitt doesn't shut up...

...possibly a reenactment of the Revolutionary War...with an updated outcome.

Jimmy Page did a quick riff at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics in China to announce the upcoming London games - he performed with some lady from England who I assume is a big deal there but I forget her name.

So I figured that meant he was penciled in for something at the opening ceremonies in London but that may just be wishful thinking.

Last night Letterman or Conan said one of the opening skits would feature Voldemort fighting Mary Poppins.

Pretty sure they were kidding. But I'd watch it.

7. Mary Poppins would kick Volde's butt

however, I would pay good money to see that fight. I'd rather see Bond fight Voldemort, but snakenose might win that one.

6. Rain, James Bond, Shakespear, Churchhill, Liz and of course Paul McCartney

I imagine we will get music from the Stones and I hope the Sex Pistols and Billy Idol.

Maybe some english bulldogs, bowler hats and giant tea kettles with crumpets will be involved. But I wish they would just shoot fish and chips into the crowd and have it rain beer.

10. I think Roger is still out on tour for the summer.

Pagey was in Beijing, IIRC. I wonder if the Queen will make an appearance.

12. Provisional music list, as leaked a month ago:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/9341231/London-2012-Olympics-the-full-musical-playlist-for-the-Olympic-opening-ceremony.html

At least one change since then - "Come Together" (Beatles) has made it onto the playlist, since it was on the brief trailer they released today.
