(46,658 posts)Today we're on to the reaction of the "scorned lovers."
As the fallout continues for Kristen Stewart and her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders after they confessed to a fling Wednesday, reactions from their scorned lovers are beginning to come in.
Stewarts longtime boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson is said to be heartbroken and humiliated after her shocking admission, according to the New York Post. After Us magazine obtained photos of her kissing Sanders, Stewart issued an apology yesterday.

Pattinson and Stewart were reportedly seen fighting backstage at the Teen Choice Awards Sunday night, just days after Stewart, 22, and Sanders, 41, were snapped in their steamy rendezvous.
Rob and Kristen were having a long and intense conversation backstage, and he looked miserable, heartbroken and humiliated. She was pleading, a source told Page Six.

(24,387 posts)that maybe it would come out that she was having a fling with Taylor Lautner?
Hollywood romances......................

(46,658 posts)Stewart is a lot grittier than most people realize. Lautner is too much of a boyscout for her.
Both Pattinson and Stewart held off a college education to star in the Twilight movies. I hope they both rethink their decisions. Kristen may have been street smart for a girl of seventeen. But she's 22 now. This experience will help to bring "real life" to a girl who thought that, academically, she had all the right answers. Smoking and dropping "F" bombs might work for her when she's young, but her generation will leave her behind if she doesn't learn from this mistake.
I do empathize with her. What young girl doesn't go through the stage of swooning over an older man? It wouldn't have been so bad if he weren't married; and, of course, there's that problem that she did the same thing to her old boyfriend before she picked up Pattinson. That is a pattern and it shows lack of character that she can't close up one relationship before starting on another. This might be attributed to being so young and being in the movie world where she is constantly being portrayed as the desirable virgin.
Of course, she could have also been doing fieldwork for a role in Shades of Grey.

(95,337 posts)Personally I think anyone cast in that movie is going to end up on a one-way train to nowhere in their acting careers.

(46,658 posts)There was a promising actress that did commit to a role where she played a stripper. Her career bottomed out through no fault of hers. Even the director said she did everything he asked her to. But it blew up in their faces.

(95,337 posts)I think they take these roles thinking they'll get noticed but end up being typecast. Kim Bassinger is probably one of the few actresses to take on a role like that and actually make a career of it (She was in '9 1/2 weeks' and ended up doing some good films after that including winning an Oscar).
I think there is alot of press hyped about doing this film but in the end it'll be a bunch of no-names doing the movie.
I remember the hype around the movie 'Atlas Shrugged'. For years they said had big name actresses 'committed' to playing the lead role in the movie including Charlize Theron and Angelina Joile. But in the end the movie cast was filled with nobodies because established actors really didn't want to be associated with a movie based on a book worshiped by right-wingers.
In the end it'll be no-name actors in the film with perhaps a few over-the-hill known but fading names playing some of the older parts like the parents or Mrs Robinson.

(46,658 posts)I got a real ew-ick moment when I saw Kidman and Cruise in eyes wide shut. It's a risk.

(46,658 posts)The Twilight era was fun for us moms who were trying to connect with our young daughters, but it was time for everyone to grow up.
