my poor little palmetto tree
like me it is going to grow BIG roots in Summerville SC.I love my palmetto tree like I love Summerville.And the Budster thinks it is an excellent place to do his thing

Those are Sagos, a kind of cycad native to Japan. The botanical name is Cycas revoluta.
The state tree of South Carolina is Sabal palmetto, the Cabbage Palmetto or just "Palmetto". It would look like this when young:  |
